Scope of Testing
Routine Tests:
1. Measurement of winding resistance
2. Measurement of voltage ratio and check of phase displacement
3. Measurement of short-circuit impedance and load loss at 50% and 100% load
4. Measurement of no-load loss and current
5. Measurement of insulation resistance
6. Induced over-voltage withstand test
7. Separate-source voltage withstand test
8. Pressure test
9. Oil leakage test
Type Tests:
1. Lightning Impulse test
2. Temperature-rise test
3. Pressure & Vacuum test
Special Tests:
1. Determination of sound levels
2. No-load current at 112.5% voltage
3. Paint adhesion tests
4. BDV and moisture content of oil in the transformer
Other Tests:
1. Permissible flux density
2. Harmonics of the no-load current
3. No load current at 90, 100 and 112.5% voltage
4. Zero sequence impedance for 3 phase transformer
